Terms and conditions
The rules for using SyncHub. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms.
Last updated: August 2, 2026
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using SyncHub— including signing in, pairing a device, or joining a guest session — you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please don't use the service.
2. Accounts
You need an account to access most features. You're responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Let us know right away if you suspect unauthorized access.
You must provide accurate information when registering and verify your email address where required.
3. Device pairing
The device pairing feature links a new device to your account via a QR code. Only scan pairing codes from devices you own or trust — a successful pairing grants that device access to your active session.
4. Documents and content you share
You retain ownership of files and content you upload. By uploading or sharing a document, you grant SyncHubthe limited right to store, process, and transmit it as needed to provide the service (for example, delivering it to a connection you've shared it with).
You're responsible for the content you upload and share. Don't upload content you don't have the right to share, or that is unlawful, infringing, or harmful.
5. Connections and sharing
Document sharing is limited to users you're connected with. You control who can send you connection requests and what permissions (such as download access) apply to what you share.
6. Guest mode
Guest mode lets people join a peer media session without creating an account, either through Quick Connect or a host's invite QR code. Guest sessions do not include chat, and media exchanged during a session is wiped when the session ends.
Don't use guest sessions to share content you don't have the right to share, or to harass or harm other participants.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for anything unlawful or harmful.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts, devices, or sessions.
- Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure.
- Upload malware, or content that infringes someone else's rights.
8. Termination
You may stop using SyncHub and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to accounts that violate these terms.
9. Service "as is"
SyncHubis provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind. This is an actively developed project and features may change, break, or be removed without notice.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SyncHub and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
